Geiranger is a tourism village in the Stranda Autonomous Region of Moore -Rumsdal County in western Norway , located at the apex of the Geirangerfjord . The nearest city is Alesund . Geiranger has the most spectacular scenery in the world and is called the best tourist destination in Scandinavia by Lonely Planet . In 2005, the Geirangerfjord region was listed as a World Heritage Site . Seven Sisters Waterfall is located west of Geiranger [2] [3] . Geiranger Church is the main church in the area around Geiranger.
