Features edit ]

Myriad has a multi-control interface that works with an intelligent software “engine” that allows the user to generate variable versions of different widths and word weights by accessing a control interface according to the stroke weight range of each glyph .
The humanistic sans serif font is an organic structure that incorporates old-style serif font elements. As with Roman age instruments, uppercase letters have a horizontal axis, and lowercase letters are based on the model of the Gregorian instrument. Humanistic sans serif font dynamic shapes and monotone colors, mediate balance through different letter widths, giving a warm and friendly feeling. The readability and friendly interface make Myriad display good adaptability in both printing and display.

Application edit ]

Since the eMac was released in 2002 , Myriad has replaced Apple Garamond (Apple Garamond ) as Apple Computer's new corporate design font. All marketing and products are now using Myriad fonts. The recent iPod display interface (starting with iPod photo ) uses Podium Sans fonts, which are very similar to Myriad. The other humanistic sans serif font Lucida Grande was used as the default font for Apple’s Mac OS X operating system .
Users can use the data1.cab in Adobe Acrobat Standard 7.0 CD to present this font.
In addition, the stations of the Hong Kong MTR (now part of the MTR ) that were built after 1998 , and the names of the stations in Lai King , Yau Ma Tei , Kowloon Bay , Ngau Tau Kok and Kwun Tong , as well as most of the signs and slogans along the way, Both use the Myriad font. The rest of the station's fiberboard and embossed characters that were activated before 1997 were using Helvetica . The Kowloon-Canton Railway in 1996 Myriad font processed into Casey font for its corporate image on.
