San Quentin State Prison ( English: San Quentin State Prison ) is a California Department of Correction and Rehabilitation men established State Prison , California, USA Shengkun Ding . Opened in July 1852, it is the oldest prison in California.
This prison is the only male California death row prison [2] [3] , there is a gas chamber. However, since 1996, the death penalty has only been executed by injection . The prison appeared on film and television; it was the subject of many books; it held concerts; and it had imprisoned many infamous prisoners.
