The Department of International Economics of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China was established in October 2012 and is a working institution directly under the leadership of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China . [1]

Job function [ edit ]

The work of the International Economics Division mainly includes [2] :
  • Chinese leaders attend preparations for and follow-up to major summits such as the G20 , BRICS , APEC , and GMS economic cooperation mechanisms ;
  • Cooperate with relevant domestic authorities to coordinate and research and participate in economic and development cooperation and related businesses within the United Nations and related international and regional cooperation frameworks from the political and diplomatic perspectives;
  • Study issues related to global economic governance, international economic and financial situation, systems, rules, and regional economic cooperation.
