Features [ edit ]
The back of the fish is brownish green, with golden green sideways and silver on the abdomen. The body side is longitudinally penetrated by several equal dark lines, and the stripes at the front of the dorsal fins completely surround the entire body. Male dorsal fins are red-yellow, black on the outside, gonads long and yellow, females have fan-shaped anal fins and can grow up to 6 cm in length.
Ecology [ edit ]
The fish inhabit the water with a relatively turbidity and flow velocity, and it is omnivorous. It feeds on worms , crustaceans, and aquatic grasses . It has a field nature, and the juvenile fish hide in water grasses to avoid being harmed by fish invasion.
Economic use [ edit ]
It can be used as an ornamental fish, like a fish tank with rich plants, and it should be raised in a single way.
