Johannes Hoffmann (Johannes Hoffmann, 1867 Nian 7 3 - 15 December 1930), German politicians, the German Social Democratic Party people. From March 1919 to March 1920, he served as governor of Bavaria .

Biography [ edit ]

Johannes Hoffman was born in Ilbergheim near Landau in the Rhineland-Palatinate . From 1887 to 1908, he was a teacher in Kaiserslautern . From 1912 to 1919, he served as the second mayor of Kaiserslautern. In 1912, he served as a member of the German Imperial Parliament . After the German November Revolution in 1918, he served as education minister in the Kurt Eisner government. After assassination, Eisner took over as Governor of Bavaria Free State on March 17, 1919.
In April 1914, the Hoffmann administration was expelled from Munich by the Bavarian Soviet Republic and moved to Banbeck . In May 1919, the Soviet Republic of Bavaria was suppressed and the Hofmann government returned to Munich. On March 16, 1920, Hoffman was forced to go out of town.
