Wisconsin School of Medicine ( Medical College of Wisconsin , abbreviation: MCW ) is located in the United States , Wisconsin, Milwaukee, one of the private School of Medicine and the Graduate School . It was originally a Marquette University and began operating independently in 1967. [1] It is the only private medical school in Wisconsin , and it is the only two medical schools in Wisconsin with the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health . [2] The 2015 U.S. News & World Report ranked it 54th in the "Medical Research" ranking. [3]
